Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A recent gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on Human Rights dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers shared reflections from faith, culture and public service on how education can reduce prejudice.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when supported by education and dialogue.
